Each night, track by track, THE BEATELS recreated the songs on The White Album live on stage to appreciative packed houses. Starting off with Back In The USSR (of course), they moved on to Dear Prudence, then Glass Onion, then Wild Honey Pie, then...you get the picture. Performing the songs from The White Album in track order live on stage, certainly highlights the dramatic range of styles and material on this classic double album that has been so influential for so many musicians, particularly in recent years. They were joined on stage by "Happiness" Stan Holroyd (of the early 1990s Aussie Doors Show fame, along with "our Ringo", Neil) on keyboards for the night, and THE BEATELS were assisted, as always, by their good friend & guitar tech Josh Ross. Production for the night was masterminded by their good mate, Felix "The Cat"! Video was shot by Marty, & you will be seeing some footage from these shows sometime soon! The first set finished with Julia, and after intermission, THE BEATELS returned with Record #2. Birthday, Yer Blues, Mother Nature's Son, etc, a blistering and authentic version of Helter Skelter, and more! When it came time for Revolution #9, THE BEATELS walked off stage while the actual track was played behind a video montage put together by Felix, which was followed by Ringo coming out & singing Goodnight to finish the album. After that, the crowds were on their feet to the tunes of some other songs from 1968 (or thereabouts), as THE BEATELS finished the night with Lady Madonna, Revolution, Hey Jude and Hey Bulldog! They were certainly 2 very special nights to remember for those who were there. For those who weren't, we will be showing you some video clips from those shows very soon, so keep an eye on www.beatels.com! | |
