Listen to some audio samples of THE BEATELS, using your .mp3 player
UNREELED! AUDIO SAMPLES (1 MIN EXCERPTS - 1.6MB EACH)
In 2004, THE BEATELS premiered a special show called UNREELED!, in
which they performed a selection of songs from the Beatle movies. Late
last year they decided to record some of the songs from that show, and
now, for your listening pleasure, we have some 1 minute excerpts of
those recordings. Please enjoy!
OTHER AUDIO SAMPLES (COMPLETE SONGS)
Here are some other Beatle tunes that we've done recordings of...
IT'S FOUR YOU (Raven Records)
The CD "It's Four You", was arranged and performed by the founding
members of THE BEATELS before THE BEATELS even came into being. It was
an attempt to bring to Beatle-life 19 Lennon/McCartney compositions,
that The Beatles never released (until the Anthology series, which this
pre-dates) but wrote for other artists (particularly around 1964, when
The Beatles were feeding hit after hit to fellow NEMS stablemates such
as Cilla Black). Each song was recorded using the same type of
instrument that each Beatle was using at the time each song was
written, & played in the style that The Beatles would have used for
that time period.
The CD was released in 1994 through Shock Records in Australia, &
DNA in the USA, but as it was released just prior to The Beatles
announcing their Anthology series, & as the record company had no
budget for promotion, the CD promptly disappeared. However, it has come
back it seems, with renewed interest worldwide, ironically due to the
renewed interest in The Beatles following the Anthology series...
One of our friends was in the HMV store in Hong Kong recently and
purchased the "Capitol Years" box set of Beatle recordings, released by
EMI. They were somewhat surprised to find that one entire disc in that
box set was not The Beatles, but was in fact "It's Four You", performed
by the founding members of THE BEATELS. Other visitors to our site have
alerted us to bootleg copies of this CD bought in other parts of the
world with the performers supposedly being The Beatles! On our recent
trip to Vietnam, we wandered across the road to a CD shop and purchased
a "Beatles" CD, only to find it was in fact the voices and guitars of
our current John and Paul...small world...
We have 2 tracks here for your listening pleasure. The first track, "I'm In Love", is a 'Lennon' rocker/ballad & "Step Inside Love" was a tune McCartney gave to Cilla Black as the theme song for her TV show. Please enjoy, & tell us what you think!
